Back at it :)

WAHOOOOO guys I’m back and this time i promise to stay right here.

I know, I know my last post has been a while and a lot has happened since.

To say a lot has changed since i last wrote a post is an understatement but I will tell you all in due time. 🙂

One of the things that happened is changing my Job, yes I have changed Career, even though working with kids has always been something is wanted to do but I realized that the Childcare route wasn’t what made me truly happy and that my heart was set in retail. So i was lucky enough to find this amazing place called Angel & Gift World here in the heart of Sligo. If you haven’t been there yet and you visit Sligo then definitely come in and visit us, it is not just a shop but an experience. We meet so many different, lets say “Characters” every single day, everyone with their own story they like to share.

Many people are from town but a lot of people come from places like the UK, America, Germany, you name a nationality and they have been in this AMAZING shop. You might think its “just an Angel Shop” but let me tell you, you couldn’t be further from the truth. There is also and amazing Holistic Centre upstairs where you can experience many Treatments such as Reiki, Amatsu, Color Light Therapy and many many more.

I have been very fortunate to find such an awesome place to work in, the Owners of this stunning little shop are even more amazing. Without them I would probably still be doing something I wasn’t fully happy with. They are some of the most amazing people you could meet and I am truly blessed to have been given this opportunity. Marleen has given me the chance to train and include me in her wonderful world of Reiki. You are probably wondering what in the name of god is Reiki, well I will tell you what it is in another post.

One thing I can say is, that it is one of the most powerful Spiritual Healings you can experience and treat yourself to, it has changed me and the person I am today. So for that I will forever be grateful to them.

So enough for tonight. I just wanted to let you all know I’m back. 🙂 I look forward to sharing my life changes, Challenges and more with you all.

I am who I am

Hey again guys.

I hope you all got well over the festive season.

I have recently read a article in a Cosmopolitan magazine, about Jameela Jamil who isn’t looking for perfection, she rather plans to stay exactly the way she is. And I have to say that she is a true inspiration to a lot of girls. This article has made me think about what she said.

There are many girls out there with low self-esteem and to be honest, society doesn’t make it easy for some to change it. Society expects us to be are a size 8 sometimes even less. I for my part have always thought I had to change something about the person I am to fit in, but you know what I don’t.
If I change something than it’s for myself and nobody else, simple as.

Reading this article has helped me realise that, I am who I am and I don’t need to change for anyone other than myself. And I am quite happy with myself. Yes I might be overweight and yes I’m by far no model material and I don’t want to be.

I don’t have to fit into a dress size 10 or less to feel beautiful, I’m beautiful just the way I am, inside and out. A lot of the plus size bloggers and models have helped me realise that.
It did take me a few years to realise that and I’m happy I finally did.

If people don’t like you the way you are than they aren’t worth your time, let them walk away if they want to.

My family and friends love me for who I am, and that’s enough for me.

Surround yourself with happy and supportive people with healthy attitudes. Cherish you, because you are important, you’re beautiful and frankly, you deserve better – Jameela Jamil.

Guys remember you are beautiful in every way.

Happy New Year

Hey guys.

I know it’s been a while again since I posted something.

I wanted to wish you all a happy new year, may it be the best year for you yet. Let it be prosperous and a happy one.
I hope you all had a very good night celebrating the arrival of 2016. Some might be absolutely hanging today but remember it was worth it.
I for one have spend it with my best friend, her family, my mum and my brother. It was a really good night and I absolutely enjoyed every minute, but nevertheless I have missed the rest of my family, like my sisters and brother, nephews and of course nieces, but I’m sure they had just as much as a good time than I did.

I know a lot of people have set their new years resolutions but to be honest, I haven’t a clue what mine are for this year. Well ok I do have one, I promise that this year I will post more on my blog. :). But I might have another think about my New Years resolutions once I got rid of Mr. Flu.

I will be back tomorrow guys. Enjoy what’s left of your New Years day.

Aloe Vera Test Run

Hi Guys, 

I know, I know, I haven’t been writing much again but sure everyone is busy from time to time, but here I am again. haha

So I want to tell you a bit about the Aloe Vera, which I am hoping to become a consultant soon. Many people I know have already done a Detox called the C9 and it has worked wonders for them. They have lost a lot of weight just by drinking Aloe Vera and changing their Diet. But there is more than just the C9, there are also Cremes, Toothpaste and Gels.

I have tried the Aloe Vera Propolis Creme and I have to stay I am impressed with how it works. 

Whenever I wear my make up it dries up my skin and leaves my Skin tone in tatters. I went to a information evening about Aloe Vera and found it very interesting. So I decided to try the Propolis Creme and see will it do anything for my skin tone and i have to say it did or does, I should say. 

I have only had the little sample packs for it but I will definitely order the big tube and include it into my daily skincare Routine.

Aloe Propolis Creme is a rich blend of stabilized Aloe Vera Gel and Bee Propolis, with other ingredients recognized for their contribution to healthy skin. Chamomile, one of nature’s best-known skin care herbs, is also added to the mix. Vitamins A and E complete the formula, recognized for their natural skin-conditioning properties.

The Propolis Creme also provides a soothing relief and it is also a fantastic moisturizer. At first I was a little shocked as I thought my skin tone was getting worse but than i remembered what the girls at the Information evening said, and what they said was “Always remember it needs to get worse before it gets better.” and by god they have been absolutely right. 

And if anyone ever asks me what I am using and would i recommend it? The Answer would always be its the ALoe Vera Propolis Creme and yes I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Gel Nail Course

Hi again everyone,

as promised I am back again today, even though I had no idea what to write about when I got up this morning, but than I thought I’d tell you about my decision of starting a Gel Nail Course ( I know guys you might think this is only for girls, which in some cases it is but let me tell you that there is guys out there that are trained Nail technicians).

I would not necessarily say that I am obsessed with Gel Nails but I do like well looked after Nails be it your own or the Gel Nail extensions. I also like the different shaped and styles that some Nail Technicians design on their clients, but the only down side to this is that I find them very expensive and so it dawned on me, why not do a Course on Gel Nail extensions myself. 

So I went online and googled Gel Nail extension courses online, why online you might ask, well I am not yet confident enough to use live models, and with the online college that I found in the end my course material included a Nail Trainer, which is basically a fake hand that you can attach to a table. Cool idea ,huh?  

At first this course has left me stunned at the price, but I just thought to myself if I don’t it now than I probably never will and it is something that I enjoy doing. And luckily I had the option to pay the fee in 4 monthly installments which made the whole thing a lot easier, not only are you getting the course material you also get Student Support which is very important and necessary. Some people say I am an absolute people’s person and sometimes I do agree I am but on other times when I am not in the best of forms than I just want to be on my own, guess we all have that from time to time. Anyway another reason as to why I decided to do this course was that at some stage when I am qualified enough I can become my own Boss, and honestly lads and lassies, who doesn’t want to become their own boss at some stage in life. Yes I have taken on yet another Course but sure life is all about learning and doing things that you truly enjoy. 

And with this course i can bring three things together as one, meeting new people and doing nails and becoming my own boss. 

When i first received my Course material I laughed at the Nail Trainer as it did look quite funny at first but than I just got on with it and started practicing, and do believe me all it takes is loads and loads of practice and always remember NOBODY is perfect and it never ever works out on the first try, that’s why it is very important to think long and hard before you decide to get yourself into education no matter if you do it online or if you go back to College. It is also very important to always go with something you well and truly enjoy than at the end of the day you want be happy with the decisions you have made and be happy in what you do. 

My course is with Essential Nails Institute and i must say I do enjoy working on my Nail Trainer it has boosted my confidence in being able to do nails on live models like my brother’s girlfriend. Who’s nails I had done for their anniversary and by my surprise they had lasted her almost 4 weeks, and boy was i proud of myself. And such a laugh we had that night.

So girls and guys please always remember to do something that you enjoy and not something that makes you miserable and frustrated, life is to short for it and also remember you are NEVER to old to learn, do whatever makes you happy, also make sure you always always stay positive than only positive thoughts will bring positive results. 

Take some time and think are you happy in what you do or is there something you feel you need to change, if there is than look into what it is you think needs changing and go for it as long as it makes you happy. 🙂 

I had people telling me to go for it as I wasn’t sure and let me tell you it was the best decision I have made, was to listen to the people I love such as my mum, my best friend and of course the amazing people I am working with in my Internship.

I love you and thank you for the kick in the bum i needed to go for this course. And thank you for always being there when i need you. I am lucky to have you in my life even when I’m not easy at times.

I’m baaaaaack, tell me did you miss me xD

Hey guys,

I know it’s been months since my last post and I am delighted to say I am baaaaack, well did you miss me? lol . I have soooooooooooooo much to tell you.

First of all I have made a big change in my appearance lol which I consider a major change as I went from black hair to a brighter color, and let me tell you I absolutely love it, thanks to my best friend Tanya, who knows exactly how I want my hair. And the best thing is I don’t even need to tell her 🙂 She is an absolute star and I do consider myself lucky to have met her and call her my best friend.

 I have decided to make some changes to my blog. I will now include things like my Gel Nail course, make up and weight loss. I will also start to include Aloe Vera into my life and  keep you posted on my progress. 

I know this entry is very small but let me reassure you that I will be back tomorrow with a bigger post it is already late enough and I don’t plague you with my posts on your Saturday night. LoL 

One thing I need to mention in this is that since I have started my Internship with a bunch of absolutely amazing people, I have changed, I have become more positive and happy with myself will not yet mention these amazing people as I have not yet the ok to do so but when I do, I will give them the recognition they deserve, as they have not just become work colleagues, mentors or bosses to me, no they have become friends and I can’t wait to tell you about them.

With this I will love you all and leave you for tonight. Please feel free to tell me what you all have been up too while I was gone I am being very curious to hear about your changes you have made or that you are about to make.

Quit Smoking

Hi guys,

so after days of thinking what i am going to talk about next i found something that is on one hand really hard for some but then again easier for others. Smoking and how to quit it. 

Well I  can’t really tell you how to quit it because there are so many ways how and they all work different for some, but i can tell you how I did it. And I am not going to be all like well it was so easy because it sure as hell wasn’t.

i have been smoking from the sweet age of 15. Why did i start, well i haven’t a clue, maybe because i thought well everyone else does, why not do it myself. So i started and boy that was a mistake which took me 15 years to realize that. But what does my mum always say, better late than never. And like every mum she’s right, and like every child/teenager i didn’t really listen to her and continued smoking up until 13 months ago. 

Not only is smoking unhealthy and all but it makes you smell bad, your hands, your clothes and even your hair will smell like smoke, and its not nice really. One morning 13 months ago i decided that enough was enough and i needed to change this bad habbit and so i went cold turkey.

And i am glad to say that i am 13 months off the cigarettes and it could be better. 

Guys and again if you really want something, you CAN achieve it no matter what it is.

Back to education

Hi guys it’s me again. 

Today I want to write about going back to education and how hard it can be to go back into it if you have been out of it for a while. Back when i was in secondary school i had to do 4 weeks of work experience and even then i knew that i wanted to work with children so i decided to do the work experience in a kindergarten, and i loved every minute of this experience.

After i finished school i went to do a apprenticeship in a bakery in Munich, don’t get me wrong i did like this job but i didn’t really love it as much as the childcare. When i got the chance to come over to Ireland years later in May 2007 as aupair, I was able to do what i always loved, working in childcare.

In January of 2008 my mum and two younger brothers moved over to Ireland and when 6 weeks later my mum started working for a hotel, i became her very own Aupair. 🙂 

So about two years ago I made the decision  to go back to education and complete the Fetac level 5 childcare, I should or will have it finished by the end of the year. 

I have to say that while I was doing the first two modules in my course I wasn’t sure if I will be able to finish the whole thing and if it was a good idea to go back to education. But I was so wrong thinking that now that I’m almost done it was the best thing I could have done. Besides I love working with children so I needed this Fetac level 5 so I said sure why not do it. I do not regret it one bit and guess what once I have this course done I will go on and do the Fetac level 6. 

I am looking forward to the new challenge which I hope to be starting next year. 🙂 

So i would recommend it to anyone if there is something you really want to do then go for it, if there is something you really want then go for it. Some people would say what have you to loose?? Exactly absolutely N.O.T.H.I.N.G

The Biggest Change In My Life Yet

Well guys i know it has been a few days since I wrote my last post, i might have been busy but be rest assured i haven’t forgotten.

The biggest change for some of us might be Marriage or having children, or anything like that but guys not for me,no. My biggest change was to make the decision to move from a country i knew everything about, a country i knew the language and the culture, to a country i knew absolutely NOTHING about. I mean the language shouldn’t be too hard, right? Well let me tell you that it was even though i had the basic English in school.

Some of you might think that it was crazy and i do agree it was but let me just say it was the best thing that I could have ever done and i would do it all over again if i’d have too. 

It all started in back in school, don’t get me wrong i hated Geography big time, but every time we had Ireland as a topic in that subject, i loved it. And i couldn’t wait to finish school and try to get the chance to go and see this beautiful country. And i finally did in may 2007 when i got the opportunity to finally come over as aupair I took it, and within 2 hours of arrival i had made up my mind and said that i was here to stay. 

My Aupair time was a blast, i met so many new people in the first few weeks. During my time as aupiar i was able to find a house for my mum, my two younger brothers and myself, thanks to my mum who organised for me to meet our than Landlord, who i must say was lovely like so many other Irish people. 

The day i finally met the Landlord i was nervous at first but i didn’t need to be. As i said he was lovely and i even got to meet his family. 

This beautiful country made me feel like I’m home since the day I set foot on the tarmac at the airport. I have never ever thought that this would be possible but it was and do i regret it?? Hell no as i said I’d do it all over again.

This has been the biggest change as of yet and i am very glad i did it. What is it that  most people say ‘home is where the heart is’, well it is absolutely right.

All bad things must come to an end!

Well tonight was a vital night for the football club I love as Sligo Rovers played Drogheda United.

Even though it was a cold enough night i did enjoy myself once again watching my football club play. I know that this years season is a very hard season for the lads but i will never ever stop going to see them play. 

The boys have been working hard tonight to secure a very vital win and i must say they did deserve it big time. So well done boys i am very proud of you. 

Why did i call this post “all bad things must come to an end” you might wonder. Well it is easily explained, the forza rovers boys have had an amazing display again, where these exact words where used, so well done lads it seemed to have worked wonders tonight. And they where absolutely right.

This club has changes something in my life and that is that i have never ever liked football in my life,why i  don’t know, but this club has changed my mind because you wont get a better atmosphere then in the showgrounds by watching it on tv.

I’d have never imagined that i would one day like football, but here i am supporting a great club and even helping them out by doing some volunteering. 

Once again well done on the win tonight boys you absolutely deserve it. And a big well done to the forza boys on this amazing display. Ok enough of the football, for tonight.
